Building a Legacy for Local Landscapes

Wildlife Preservation Clarence Valley (WPCV) is a land acquisition and stewardship charity protecting high-value habitat across the Clarence Valley. I helped guide its early development through mentoring, strategic planning, communications and community networking, building strong foundations for its governance and partnerships.

As Biolink Coordinator with Biodiversity Legacy, I supported the founder to identify conservation priorities, connect with landholders and donors, and prepare for philanthropic funding. WPCV has since grown into a strong, community-led organisation with a clear purpose and capable leadership.

Today, I continue to support WPCV as a volunteer, member and strategic advisor, offering:

  • Mentoring - support Victor and the Organisation with decision making an strategy

  • Strategic Advise – helping shape clear goals, plans and structures using the Conservation Standards framework

  • Community engagement and communications – refining messaging, storytelling and campaigns through the website, print and events

  • Networking and collaboration – linking partners, landholders and supporters for impact

  • Fundraising & Personal donations - my art generates financial support to help with administration and ongoing costs of running the Org.

Current Role: Volunteer, Member, Communications and Strategy

This campaign is deeply personal to me, as I played a key role in helping bring it to life. What began as an idea shared among local conservationists has grown into a movement protecting real habitat and species.

My connection continues through my art where I paint and sell Glossy Black Cockatoo’s inspired by the species we protect, with a portion of each sale supporting WPCV’s ongoing work. Shop my art here.
