Nature, travel and conservation through art

I create nature-inspired artwork, travel sketches and conservation storytelling that celebrates our connection to place.

Hi, I’m Jen Oceans, artist, conservationist and creative problem solver.

Through travel sketching, watercolour and nature-inspired art, I explore our connection to place, culture and the natural world. My recent work has been shaped by journeys through Mexico, Indonesia and South Korea, documenting landscapes, wildlife, architecture and everyday moments along the way.

Alongside my art practice, I bring creativity, strategy and community engagement to grassroots organisations, conservation projects and purpose-driven initiatives through Oceans Eco Motive.

Whether through art or conservation, I’m interested in helping people see, value and connect more deeply with the world around them.

‘The General Store’ - Lake Gkula, Woodford Folk Festival
from $15.00

I painted this after time spent at Woodford, sitting by Lake Gkula and watching the sunset on the water and volunteers unwind after a long hot day of work.

It’s one of those places that slows everything down. Music in the distance, people drifting past, and that feeling that you don’t really want to be anywhere else.
