About the artworks

I absolutely love Woodford Folk Festival. It is one of those rare places where creativity, community and joy all collide, and I always find myself sketching and drawing the unique, authentic scenes I stumble across with a big grin on my face. There is so much fun, colour and character everywhere you look.

‘Come On In’ is an ink and watercolour sketch of a beautiful budgerigar welcoming us all into Bob’s Bar. I fell in love with the colours, the signage, the relaxed vibes, and the fig trees lining the path to the butterfly walk, with tall trees always framing the background.

‘Spicy Themes’ was a sketch I simply could not resist. I adore the hot pinks and the retro feel of the Parlour, and if you were at Amphi Grand on New Year’s Eve 2025, you will definitely recognise the banana - do you?

Woodford is joyful, playful and completely unique. I am so excited to share these feelings and drawings with you, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I loved making them 💛
