About the artwork
I love painting Glossy Black Cockatoos, and Mr Glossy is one of my favourites.
He was painted from a beautiful reference photo, used with permission from photographer Jayden Gunn. The original artwork was sold and I’m so happy that Mr Flossy can now continue his story through prints, cards, and posters.
Glossy Black Cockatoos are a threatened species, relying on she-oaks (Allocasuarinas) for food and old hollow trees for nesting. Both are disappearing due to fire, overdevelopment, and logging.
A portion of every sale is donated to Wildlife Preservation Clarence Valley.
Thank you for supporting Australian wildlife art and helping conserve these incredible birds and their habitat.
