About the artworks
These watercolour and ink sketches were painted at Woodford Folk Festival in December 2025 while I was helping with the build. I sat by Lake Gkula and soaked it all in. People swimming, laughing and cooling off, with the big Willy Wagtail sculpture made from old car and motorbike parts standing watch over the water. The lake feels beautifully alive, home to native fish, frogs and lungfish, and deeply respectful of Country. I love how Woodford shows that you can bring lots of people together in nature and still tread lightly. It’s community, creativity and care all sharing the same space 💛
